Kids are the future; Teach them to fish

The MisStress is a custom 25' Aquasport, powered by a Yamaha 250HP Four Stroke with Garmin Fish Finder, Garmin GPS , ICOM Ship to Shore Radio and all required US COAST GUARD Safety Equipment. MisStress also has a small Cuddy Cabin with a port-a-potty for your privacy and convenience. Capt. Guy has 22 years local experience in St. Augustine waters and 42 years experience world wide.

"I specialize in teaching young anglers to fish as well as putting experienced anglers on the fish."

For INSHORE fishing I fish the ICW (Intra Coastal Waterway) and it's feeder creeks for redfish, spotted sea trout, weakfish, flounder, black drum, whiting  and sportfish such as jack cravalle, bluefish and lady fish.

For OFFSHORE trips I troll live bait/dead bait from near shore to offshore waters (from the beach to 35 miles out) for king mackerel, tarpon, sharks, cobia, barracuda, sailfish and mahi-mahi or bottom fish for vermillion snapper, lane snapper, American Red Snapper (though the season is closed indefinatley on these we practice catch and release), several grouper species and black seabass (quite possibly the best eating fish in the world).

All licenses, tackle, bait and ice for your catch are provided as well as fish cleaning at the end of the day. Prices are based on four passengers, arrangements can be made for up to two additional at $50.00 per person (weight restrictions apply for over four passengers). I also do echo/birdwatching tours for up to 6 passengers.

I always have a CASH DISCOUNT (ask for it when booking).

Bring the family and take a charter with Capt. Guy aboard the MisStress and let us HOOK YOU UP to the fish of your dreams.

Thursday, March 01, 2012 - Spring Is Coming

Report:

Spring is coming and the offshore seasons will be opening up starting April 1.

April 1 - Vermillion Snapper (red eyes) will open

May 1 - Grouper (gag, black and scamp) will open

June 1 - Black Seabass will open

NO PRICE INCREASE  yet (I'll keep them as long as I can. Book early to lock in today's prices)

Late March/early April should see the Cobia and Amberjack show on the local artificial reefs as well as the Cobia on the bait pods along the beach and this can be sight fishing at its finest (you never get out of site of land). We have had a very mild winter so far and you may even see some king mackeral show early this season.

For the inshore fishing the reds and trout have been biting good to outstanding along the banks of the ICW as well as up in the creeks, there are a few flounder arround the docks and creek mouths and the bluefish are everywhere (sometimes in nuisance numbers, if you want to get a youngster hooked on fishing this is the way to go, a fish on just about every cast and they have teeth).

I'm looking forward to seeing my regular customers this spring and summer as well as meeting lots of new fishermen/women.

Tight lines, Lets Go Catch Something.

(the pics are from last season, we'll add new ones as we catch them)
